my boss just told me my next trip to manila will be in july.

i see some improvements on this trip. the usual bullshit at the airport has been eradicated and the lines at immigration are much shorter. the exit fees are now only p550.

maybe p-noy is actually doing something good or it's just my imagination.

i only make short visits, and i always stay in the makati area so dunno how the everything really is.

And it is funny how they are enforcing some of the new controls - BI / Customs officers are not allowed to "LOITER", BI / Customs officers are barred from Public canteens during their work hours (nobody said about their off hour)

The bottom line is, if you pay them peanuts, they will grudgingly keep quite and then find some other way to 'enhance' their pay .. Something PNoy and all congressmen are blindly ignoring ..

When an average pay is 30,000 peso before deductions for a hundred and one purposes, (which filipinos accept is as norm - including payment for PRC, this, that and all ) .. a foreigner with a possibility of 30,000 peso rip off is like 'come and get me .. '

Same goes for Filipinos travelling overseas, as well as kababayans goes back overseas, seen as easy money ..

I don't know the one on the left. The one in the center has 2 Korean boyfriends sustaining her lifestyle by paying her rent and cost of living. She's mighty proud of that, not to mention that she's a FL although she doesn't have to do that work now that her boys are sponsoring her.

Point number 1 is you don't fixate on a price and forget that everything in this world is for sale, unless you have a mega fat wallet .. me don't have so I put price at the bottom .. though I am not a cheap charlie ;)

Precisely. First time I met her sure, I paid 2000 pesos. She stayed the morning and was happy to accompany me for the rest of my short stay (3 days). Didn't have to pay for the subsequent bonk sessions.
