Funny how nobody noticed or commented on the new tiled sidewalks that Fields Avenue is finally getting.

Tiled Sidewalk?? Haha. Our brothers are more concerned about girls, girls, giirls. Yes, its started from MacArthur end and proceeding towards Checkpoint. Paradise Beer Garden lost its parking lots cos of the sidewalk.

I guess locally. There are many pig farms everywhere. No license required.
I admit that the quality of pork cannot compare to those in Sg but its about the best of what's available.

Just arrived in Cebu where their specialty is the BBQ pig or boneless lechon. Yes, the lechon here taste better then those sold besides Mcdonalds, end of Fields.

So happy to get out of AC. I was watching 5 young boys climbing the fence of Clark Base to come to where I was standing to catch a jeep near Honeykos. Crazy since there was 3 lines of rusty barbed wires on top. Little did I know I was the reason for the climb. First one came to me and shouted for his friends to quick get over. He stretched one hand to ask for money and I saw the other hand trying to grab my waist pouch. I did a body twist and shouted at the boy. Luckily a jeep stopped and I got into it and was safe.

Guys, beware of any group of kids or beggars that approach you.

I just read in the newspaper that NAIA officers rounded up a gang of 20 kids and an adult manager. Kids were openly demanding for money from open jeep passengers and tourists. Sadly in AC, its our fault if any kid is hurt by us while we are being robbed.

Thanks for positive posts which contribute to the quality of this thread. Posts which provide relevant information, advise or even morale support. Cos I do know of many who have not experienced AC and feel inadequate to contribute.

It is not only in AC and it is not only about the kids. It is the rule here that any local hurt is the foreigner fault. Have you heard about the guy who was being robbed at Raymond street and defended himself? He was made to pay compensation to the robber!

There was a group of foreign tourists that were bar hopping in Fields ave.
When they came to the Eager Beaver bar one of them decided to buy a pack of cigarettes from the vendor nearby. The vendor gave the guy a pack of cigarettes + a box of viagra which the guy never wanted..... and asked for 1000p from the guy. The guy decide not to buy from this vendor and walks away to another vendor opposite the Phillys Sports bar when he heard someone calling out to him behind him. He turned around and saw the 1st vendor approaching him with a drawn knife in one hand hidden by the tray of cigarettes in the other hand. The guy reacted and disarmed the vendor but in the process dislocated the elbow of the vendor.

The cops came and brought back both parties to Station 4.
Despite the facts established through witness accounts that the vendor was the aggressor and had approached the tourist with a drawn knife demanding for money.... the cops ruled that the tourist must pay the vendor for his injuries sustained + admin fees incurred by the cops for procedures and investigations into the case.

It is always a no win situation for any foreigner to get into an altercation with a local. Dun be a hero here.

WTF!! That would have been classify as Armed Robbery in other civilised countries. :mad:
