Re: Legal Advise Needed (Nothing to Do With Sex)
Yes, I agree with E8 food house.
The case is a little weak with little details and definition of terms. You can consult a lawyer, but good ones don't come cheap. You are looking at around $300-$450 per hour of advice for the top 5 firms in Singapore. Ask your friend to speak to the current boss, check reaction then see how. But I always feel that after you make it known that you are going to leave, you should not hang around even if the old boss offers more money. The traditional / old fashioned boss (sorry, making assumptions here) will be making alternate plans already. Anyway, my 2 cents worth. By the way, Merry Christmas everyone. |

Re: Legal Advise Needed (Nothing to Do With Sex)
Dear Bro,
Basically, i assume the contract did not have an exit clause, thus no penalty is imposed even though she exits. However, it would be normal for a person to give one or two months notice or in lieu of the salary she receive as some form of compensation. In addition, if she is a singaporean, then she would have check if the employer contributes CPF thus the basis of her CPF can be used as the monthly salary. Basically, I think it is okay to leave the former and join the latter. regards |

The best option is, get the girl to talk and discuss with the boss amicably to settle the problem. |
