yellow cabs are designated airport taxis with faster jumping meters, yes, just out to fleece the foreigners that don't know better, especially when you can go upstairs to take the white normal metered taxis usually. t1 - take lift, t3 - take escalator, t2 - not very sure, but i walked up the stairs previously

on another matter ->
to avoid uncomfy situations, just put your money in your hand carry during the scan, or keep in your passport if it's just a few notes, and not too thick

on the scan, it only shows up as paper, can't see the amount or that it's definitely $$ , so they won't ask you to open the bag for secondary checking

.. if you bring sex toys then it's another story, since the shape is definitely questionable ;)

Exactly- as I remembered more than half the road to the Underground river was unpaved, and like in Peurto Galera, it was a mud bath / drive through mud .. in fact our 4 WD Toyota Van was sliding around in the mud .. that was a couple of years ago.

I guess nothing much would have changed, in 2 years, knowing Philippines (and affirmed by my recent foray into the Mountain Province - out of the 120 KM roads, about 30 KM are under repair / no roads exist, being washed off in the last storm a year ago .. )

If you are looking to do other stuff in PP, go ahead -you can choke a stay in Dos Palmas (don't ask me why it is so popular :D ) or head to El Nido ..

I find it ok la. Not that special to me but worth going once in your life. I like the island hopping at Honda Bay too. But overall, I will have prefer to head to Coron or El Nido instead of PPS.

Typhoon Bopha has dumped a lot of water and debris on the island and the tourist resorts are cut off from main town. Unless you have your own rescue team standing by I advise it would be better to visit at another time. :)
