There are 3 ferry terminals frm HK to Jiuzhou. That is the best you can get if you do not want to travel from HKIA to ZH... Namely, china ferry terminal, macau ferry terminal. The third one is from tuenmun, but i not sure if its still around. Total trip is atill around 2 hrs, including cab ride to gongbei. Going tru Macau is not a better solution, as you need to go tru an extra custom...

understand there are also time schedules on the ferry trip from HKIA to ZH ...
better to check it out and see if it fit into ur flight arrival into HKIA ...
else u'll probably have to wait a few hrs in the airport for the ferry ..:(

the only inconvenient through macau is going through the "extra" custom and dragging along ur luggage to ZH gongbei custom border ..
and depending on ur time arrival at ZH Gongbei custom, it can be damn crowded and rush ...
but there is the 直通车 at macau airport goes all the way to ZH through 横琴关口 ...this border custom is very quiet so there's no crowd and rush ...:p
