The locals hating are doing it because they are jealous. Pogo starting salary is 55K, with accommodation and meals and everything provided. And if bilingual, starts at 90K. And I know a CPA, who's getting 550K working for a Macau legal Pogo. Who pays that much ?

I heard it's even worse than what you described. They approved the crappy Sino vaccine for the public but secretly flew in Moderna and Pfizer vaccines procured overseas into the Philippines for a few of the elites. This was leaked by someone working for the elites.

In a real pandemic that isn't this questionable covid "pandemic" Philippines would be total chaos..like zombie apocalypse level chaos.

The behavior of the elites in the Philippines is appalling what makes it tolerable is the pussy. Otherwise their society is quite terrible and it's exactly why so many want to leave.

100% Possible. I used to think Filipinos are nice, before learning, the upper class don't mind a few thousand dead as long as they are safe. Like the Lunetta bus case.

The testing issues came out when they were only testing at RITM, and the backlog was growing, and then some doctors found out VIP test out in 24 hours, others, including doctors with possible exposure - at least 7 to 14 days. Of course, president fired nobody. The health secretary is his buddy, who's family businesses have made a ship load of money because of Covid. Conflict of interest ? Not in Philippines.

I remember that news, they even say before that it was fake news, that he was infected. Then later on said he was tested and got result within the day. While commoners wait for 7-14 days for their result. Money talks in PHL obviously. You just need to side with the current admin as well to get the protection and special privilege.

Correct, money talks in Ph. I know at least 5 dead in Benguet, and almost after burial, result- positive. And DoH warned mayor, no result, don't count as positive, even if other symptoms and CT Scan / X ray show Covid like damage. Luckily the hospital treat the patient as highly suspect, and they use CT Scan and X ray to check lungs - for damage, before Result from RITM come back
