Bros do take precautions against dengue if you are coming into AC now..... the outbreak is terrible and not helped by the wet weather and floodings.

The hospitals are full and do not accept dengue victims for hospitalisation..... many go home and die. An American tourist spend 7 days lying in bed in his hotel room.... luckily for him the PB was able to arrange a doctor to attend to him but still he was too weak to get out of bed until the 8th day when he flew back to the States.

The owner of Cottage Kitchen (next to Silly Hat bar) didn't make it and succumbed...... his funeral is tomorrow.

Fyi... it is an offence to carry any bladed weapon outside in the PI...... the punishment is detention without trial !!

This law dates back to the Marcos era and still is in existence. :)
And a favourite amongst the lawmen to extort money from ignorant foreigners.

This no simple girl, got a property out of her just broke up Korean boyfriend.
Hope u skilful swordsman like 令狐冲 to counter her sharp parang.


Now going out fleamarket to buy cheap things as gifts for my coming AC trip.

I have seen many unsuspecting tourists who happily purchase pocket knifes, balisongs and cute blades for souvenirs only to be stopped by the police who obviously have been waiting outside these shops for these tourists. :)

Thanks for the update bro.it's really sad to catch such a disease on a joyful holiday.i happen to caught a suspected Hep A or bad case of food contamination few years ago was in bed for 5 days straight.high fever,diarrea,strengthless.only manage to wake up forcing myself to eat a little & take medication then off to sleep again.I felt worse after 5 days of amoxcyine doesn't help only on the 8 day I was given ciproflaxin & finally works & clear my fever on the 11 day.

Totally ruin my Holiday & I got many kind of vaccination after that Kenna frighten Liao.

Sad to hear the owner of cottage kitchen can't make it.may he rip.

This is really bad, esp for locals. I too contracted dengue in Phils but luckily recover without hospitalisation. Nowadays I bring lots of mos patch and spray whenever I go phils. Aedes mos is supposed to be day time hunter but I guess they have localised. :)
