Hi All Bros,

I am going ZhuHai next month. Any bros can recommend? Read through the posts, a bit confusing for me, cant really tell which is ZH which is macau.

China passport can apply visa to go macau. Onli 30mins and 350rmb. :D

Macau custom is getting from bad to worst. PRC queue the same as foreigner. Abt 500 at each macau queue on saturday night.

Sunday morning saw the queue at gongbei stretch still almost at the traffic towards lian hua road.
Although gongbei different queue for foreigner. Cannot image what will happended in macau custom where all prc and foreigner in the same queue.
Really terrible.

Hong Kong has recently been cracking down on Parallel traders who go back and forth bringing goods - as Sheung Shui residents was just getting fed-up with all the hassles they create.

As far as I know, these parallel traders are also a major cause of the congestion at the Gongbei border - wonder why its still being allowed freely/nobody seems to care?

I'd say you should fly to whichever airport depending on your own needs i.e. price? convenience? schedule etc. But if you just want to go to Zhuhai or Macau (which is next to each other) then you should just go to Macau if there are correct flights.

you have to understand that Zhuhai is in MAINLAND China and thus its going to be more like Chang Ping whilst Macau is a Chinese Special Administrative Region which used to be a Portuguese Colony, and is thus more like Hong Kong. The two places quite totally different/different ways of "playing"

Prices in Macau are at least double what it is in Zhuhai but the advantage in Macau is that just about EVERYTHING is LEGAL whilst Mainland China do not allow prostitution, gambling etc. (but mongering is generally OK unless you really are unlucky/in the middle of a Yanda!)

If I was you and your friends, I'd probably want to spend some time in BOTH places. Note that they are next door to each other and the Gongbei border is actually just a walk across....maybe 1 day each first 2 days and then decide which one you guys prefer for the latter part of your trip!

Zhuhai is poor cousin to Changping. Very poor cousin. Actually much better to stay in Changping.

But if die die want to try Zhuhai, still got some place left to play.

First, can go Lian Hua Lu to look see look see or 6c6c. Still got some WGs walking there. If nothing, at least can bio the umbrella bar girls. Some of them very chio. Remember they are not WGs huh but can try your luck to xian them if you yandao enough.

Then, you can go to Bar Street with your girl or go there to try and xian other girls. One bro here say many KTV girls go there after work, I was there too early, 1 am, so did not see too many. Anyway I ugly old man so always no luck one, you young man sure can do better. There is also a disco to pick up WG, read one of the post.

KTV for sure cannot fight with Changping. Girls, room all lose. Only price draw or even win. If still want to try, can try Wang F, Gan Dong, Dream Paris or Changan International. Sorry I dun have contact as I seldom go back.

Sauna, many still operate in steath mode. Quality also lose to Chang An and Chang Ping. The ones in bigger hotel may be more confirm open. Can try Yindo, Guotai, Changan Good World. Many small massage place also give full service, you have to ask and see.

Where to stay is really up to you. Zhuhai is not a big place. To keep it simple, can stay in one of the sauna hotel or near LHL.

Macau is different storey. Price in Macau sauna is at least 3-4x more. But is 100% safe and guaranteed as it is legal in Macau

And yes, Zhuhai USED to be known as THE place for saunas - cheap and all over the place and it's never really been known for its KTV's/agree a poor second cousin to CP in terms of quality, quantity and value.

Of late/after the recent Yanda, I hear that some of the saunas have started operating again - and some nice newer ones a bit North at Jida area and of course those in Gongbei can't really stay closed too long can they?! LOL!

Umbrella bars are those "open air" bars lining Lian Hua Lu, where guys would just saddle up to one of the bar stools straight from the street, have a drink and a chit-chat with the bar girls there. A lot of these gals are very pretty but they will USUALLY NOT go out with customers - as their main income/duty is to push drinks to them/lots have boyfriends etc. But I have heard of some bros scoring with them - but be prepared to spend a lot of time drinking, chatting etc if you really want to pursue one!

And talking about sort of Civvie action - as these Umbrella gals are -Zhuhai is also the "staging point" for gals to go and work in Macau or to come back to when they need to renew their 2 way permitted stay in Macau - so there's a lot of these KTV/Sauna gals who are working in Macau AND just taking it easy when they're in Zhuhai....that it is not really difficult to "access" them when they're there. They hang about some of the joints on Bar street or discos like Yesterday etc, just partying in groups and easy to approach. But of course this is quasi Civvie action and thus NOT a sure thing!

WG's are Working Gals - prostitutes in all their various formulations/guises - and the WG on Lian Hua Lu are also known as Walking Gals as that is what they literally do - walk up and down LHL quite quickly (they're actually under orders from their Mafoos that they must walk quick to let punters know that they are available and think that they are healthy - yeah - weird!!), whilst accosting likely clients and if not successful right away, by handing them little post-it notes with their name and phone number. There used to a tonne of these walking gals going up and down - and mostly quite good looking - but of late, you'll see less and less of them (none during the recent Yanda!).

Saunas in Macau is actually a step above CP in terms of quality, variety but of course also price! Read through some of the posts about Darling, Sauna 18, Rio etc and you'll see what I mean. KTV's in Macau - Too damn expensive as far as I'm concerned and NOT worth the money.

As for taboo, just ask mummy to bring in gals whose convient.

Huh? Why would you think the Underground shopping mall at the Gong Bei border is possibly going to be closed?
I've NEVER seen this mall closed - even during Chinese New year!

I don't think that there are guides for Zhuhai as its really not a difficult town to navigate. I suggest you just do a bit of reading here to figure out which KTV would be to your liking and then just walk-in.
