Guess this is a common question to most of us ..
Can Ladies and Men become good friend but no sex involve ? A companion to share unhappiness etc when your wife or hubby really irritate you and you can find him/her to confine in. Just like girls girls shopping, kopi, gym, cycling etc . Sometime it just happen that you really cant get along with your surrounding friends, and this friend of yours came in and become your soulmates...Or definately impossible...
Well, you can have your girlfriend or boyfriend but he/she will always be your soulmate. I do not know lah if thing things happen it happen it not...just a friend cos your friend might not understans you well enough but somehow the opposite sex of hers/him understand u better than ur spouse.

If you're really wondering, yes.
I'm not going to try telling you I know this from experience, or age or whatever, but yes, that's what friends are for aren't they?
I have no idea if you're actually looking for someone to fill that role, but if you are, I wish you the best of luck in finding one, cause anyone here might be able to fill that gap for you as a listening ear.
Sure they're some sex crazed people around, but deep down, I'm sure there's some people who would rather like to be there for you when you need them

Thanks for your reply...yeah lot of crazed people around loh and maybe some i met. You know lah..it common and it all depend on luck you met the kind soul who are really can be your friends but how many...unless you are super chio than you got plenty of opposite sex friend crowded over you...

It is possible to tha sort of so call Platonic friendship..... but do bear in mind this with such a friendship bond it is best not to cross the threshold..... as both rely maybe on each other listening ear..... more or less I wouLD say there will be some emotional attachment. So if both crosses the threshold Hmmm it is likely to get messy.

Step back and reflect.

Is there any value in such a question?

When we make new friends, do we determine upfront.. this person can only be a friend, nothing more?
When we hire new staff, do we say.. this person can only be a supervisor, no more?
Change is constant, ppl do evolve for the better or for the worse. Thus, personally, I stopped wondering about this issue long ago.
Just go with the flow. Having close relationships and maintaining it, is very fulfilling.

Alternatively.. try wearing a nun or a pastor uniform when u go clubbing/ pubbing, and see how many new frens u will make.

TS, if you belief in it YES. If you don't then NO. Friends are just friends no matter how close your relationship are. Just don't add in the benefits that comes along with a close friendship. Most people like to mix them together.

If you are talking about good friends with no sex involved, of course.

But if the question is about being literally a 'good friend', where no love is involved, it will be possible if you are ugly or very very fat. Sorry but this is the most honest feedback i can give you as a guy, or at least as an individual.

Personally i think marriage isn't only about sex.. If you are happier with him.. i am sorry to your husband/wife, but why are you two together? Does it matter if sex is involved or not? If it does involve sex, why not? Everyone LOVES sex!

Something i really dont understand is that.. i thought spouse are supposed to be the one that you 'can' confide in and 'will' confide to? I mean, shouldnt spouse be your pillar of support?

YES.... For sure it can happen.... I have a few very close good female friends... Platonic friends.... We have never had anything sexual happen between us ever.... No making out, no touching, no sex..... Purely friends....

But then again... If there is a sexual attraction there... It could be just sex.... And that's how the term 'Friends With Benefits' came about..... Which I always say, is different from a Fuck Buddy..... Anyways yeah... That can happen too... As long as you and your friend draw the line clearly....

But yeah... Platonic friendship between the opposite sex is possible and can definitely happen..... :)

Then it's not platonic anymore because sexual thoughts about the other party are present.

So it really still stands that platonic relationships between opposing sexes are truly born only of a sexual orientation mismatch, or a complete lack of sexual interest because both parties secretly and mutually feel the other party is ugly as sin.
