Maybe stash your cigarets into two separate luggage and hopefully they will only discover one stash which is within the allowable limit. Also, fiddle with your passport as you go near Prc customs as I've noticed that in most cases, passport holders just get waved through as opposed to Prc nationals. Reverse national/racial profiling against their own!! LOL

Stranger still would be in Shenzhen. Was stopped and when I produced my passport, they let me through without checking. Legally 19 sticks into Hk and 2 cartons into china but I have gone through china customs with 4-6 cartons in a clear DFS bag on some occasions.
