I hope this is not the usual Pattaya that I knew from 5 years back. Or else I will rather stay in Bangkok next time.

Here is another tip.
If you want go early to Walking street...go at 7 pm.
Head for the beer bar opposite Peppermint Agogo. Order a beer and watch as the gogo girls walk thru that alley going to work.
Once you spot someone you fancy..smile and get noticed. Do not hesitate to say hello and ask where she work and what is her number. Then say maybe later you go buy her drink.
Trust me ..it works. If she not late you may even get phone numbers.
For me..I use their own line...'you forget me lor'...works like clockwork.
