Probably not possible to be 100% sure but there are a few precautions you can take to lessen the chance.

- Watch what you drink and eat - at the club, midnight snack and especially in the room when you are most likely more at ease... And are vulnerable.

- Do NOT get into action before she bathes - with you watching - as a trick is to paint drugs on their nipples and/or other body parts. Even parts around the lips - so insisting she brush her teeth makes sense as most girls will usually refuse to wet their make-up otherwise.

- Lock up in a safe all your valuables when you get back in the room; even a locked suitcase acts as a deterrent if your room has no safe. Too many guys forget that their wallets, watch, other jewelry, mobile phones etc - things we routinely have on ourselves -are valuable tempting targets.

- Try to avoid freelancers as then you cannot turn to their mommies/bosses for recourse; and even this, make sure that the gal had been under them for a while at least, as a friend got hit by a gal who was on her first day with the mommy.
