Thanks for the suggestions, guys.. in SG, when I attend wedding, I usually give $100... not a fan of wedding dinners..
Didn't know in hcm, attending a wedding dinner can be so political... I wasn't thinking of anything beyond covering the cost of my seat.. ha ha... but since sniper mentioned a table at a high class hotel would cost USD$250, so if I give slightly more than USD 25, should be quite OK..not out to impress anyone, since I don't know anyone besides the couple..
