IMHO,
Marriage to me is indeed rather akin to slavery for men in most 1st world economies (Singapore included). The economics of marriage simply do not work well for men. Divorce settlements, child-custody, poor sex life, the reasons have all been said before.
But not getting married isn't the end of the world. As the most men in this forum likely know, we men have quite a few alternatives when it comes to female company and/or sex (in the increasing order of cost):
1. Cohabitation with a long-term girlfriend/fwb
2. A long-term fwb without cohabitation
3. A long-term girlfriend without cohabitation (whether or not she believes that marriage is on the table... depends on how cold-blooded you are
)
4. Sugar-daddy/Sugar-babe arrangements
5. Short-term girlfriends/Flings from clubs
5. Using escorts frequently
I am also quite curious as to what is the arrangement of choice of most of the samsters here? (those that are not married of course)
