Eat a modest meal e.g. Jollibee or McDo instead of a more luxurious meal at Royal Amsterdam, Kokomos or German Bakery. There you've already made up for the currency fluctuations. Focus on having a good time. Don't worry too much about exchange rate.
Lastly what I often practice is this:
Change very minimal e.g. $30 or $40 from Mustafa Center or Lucky Plaza. These two places give the best rates. Then walk along Perimeter and a little after Sky Trak, pop in and ask + Ask for anything better. Repeat for 6 to 7 money changers. You'll get a rough idea of the market rate. No matter how many you ask it's not going to be grossly different. Now go to the best one and ask if you change $500 can you get something better. If they do it's a Wow!.

Infact i think its a good info as some of us, including myself are often curious about the exchange rates. Sometimes i just peep over the counters when i happen to pass by any money exchange in sg, thou not so hard sup on the fluctuation. however this is only good if the posts show actual rates over the counter but not just any bank rates.
Since anyway i still have to change money, yet the differences over various counters wont be too much, i will just change at zeny (or zenny). If i think the rates are good at certain period, i just change more, vice versa.
I would like some sandwich snacks at the small eatery counter outside icarus bar. my favourite is 1-for-1 ham/cheese/egg sandwich about 50peso. other local food is cheap there too like the pork tocino (sweetened pork) with rice and egg. other favourite is a takeaway pizza at the shop just beside atlantis, which gives a satisfied meal with some left over for later snacks. Else a roasted chicken at 170peso (10peso varies on different shops) serves a just enough meal for a girl and myself.
