A prolonged and heavy rain, considered “unprecedented” by a weather pundit, swept through Ho Chi Minh City in the middle of the dry season, resulting in severe flooding in many locations on the weekend.
The downpour caused traffic jams and inundation in various areas in the southern Vietnamese hub, while weather forecasters have warned that the phenomenon may recur in days to come.
