Raids are not specially conducted to coincide with major events... In Singapore, there are not much of significant major events in the 365 days. Hence, if the AV really follow this practice, the KTVs, HCs, TNs, GL will be rather havoc and out-of-control. Wanna impress the Govt? I would say that's about 20%... 30% is that they are under instruction or media/public pressure (news, public complaints, etc)... And the remaining 50% is because this is their job scope, so besides conducting raids, what else can they do? Not much I guess.

Anyway, I think the IMF will not actually invite more raids from the AVs. This is 1 big event which the Govt view seriously. So most probably they will rather deploy the AV for more security petrols instead of raiding these entertainment outlets. *Cheers*
