Dun go to the mixed gender Onsens..... you will regret.
Almost all of the ladies who frequent these type of Onsens are grannies. I have yet to spot any lady younger than 50 in any of those I have visited. And these grannies are not shy to "touch" you by using excuses like there is soap residue on your body and they wipe away for you. After a few of these scary encounters.... now I only go to those Onsen with segregated baths.
