Yes, it is a advantage that can speak thai. But the way you write will make people felt that you trying to boost your ego that you know how to speak thai and bringing fellow cheongsters low for those who can't speak thai.
And if you read some FR, some girls don't speak english while their customer(cheongster) don't speak thai and the cheongster still have a great time.
