I never understand the points system and till now I still don't get it. My point is, does points really matters?
In my own opinion, put aside points and just look at his post contents, does it worth you to give him points based on that? I don't know man, I think his post contents are pretty okay and his initiatives that he started are really out to make this forum a better place.
Is points really that important?
