Last time those big ATM can. For example. Clementi, big machine outside no 1k. Inside the two hv. Thn u can withdraw 1k note. If exceed ur daily ATM card amount. Say u wana withdraw 10k. The big machine also can. But a officer will come authorize. Can get from machine. No need q counter.
Now. 1k note. Is definitely q counter.
Over counter. They ask for reason. Last wk, its for salary. Co transfer to me. I withdraw. So I say salary.
Other time I will say, overseas travel expenses. Etc. Or easier to carry.
Anyway, Vietnam custom (xray) hor especially when u depart. They will look out for stacks of money. So make sure stacks amount within their law.
