New story (trying to rewrite something I wrote 7 years ago that makes me cringe)

I stumbled out of the taxi, held up by my two best friends. We clambered towards the door and rang the doorbell several times, waiting for someone to answer. Finally, my elder sister, Rebecca, opened the gate for me.

“Thank you.” She thanked my friends and slung my right arm over her left shoulder, swiftly carrying me into the house and placing me gently on the sofa.

“Mummy and Daddy told you not to drink, didn’t they?” Rebecca nagged, staring me in the eye.

Without a word, I pulled her into my arms and pressed a kiss to her lips, pushing my tongue into her mouth before being given an elbow to the gut.
