If you’re expecting more after a simple gift, advice is to stop. You’re only 自我感动自己.
Be it actual food for consumption or whatsoever, you might think that your gesture have touched her, but in reality you’re not the only one buying food/gift for her. They say simple foods like chicken rice or caipng will do. But come on who doesn’t like a meal of haidilao out outside?
An incident I heard from a service provider: One of her customer bought her a Swarovski necklace, but she herself has other necklaces that are far more expensive and valuable than that. End of the day when she RTC, she’s going to pass it to her friends. If you’re okay with your gift being ended up on other people’s hand, by all means go ahead.
