With a Thai bank account , I usually just convert sgd to thai baht using wise app (rates are usually 0.1 higher than the best money changer I can find) and transfer the funds directly into my Thai account. Land in Thailand can withdraw from ATM fuss free.
Dont have to bring large amount of cash when travelling or shopping. Can just scan and pay like Paylah and PayNow.
