Very impressed and glad to see that both Slot and his Red Men are not taking anything for granted and still going game by game until they get over the line
With regards the Carabao Cup Final, I think we will definitely see a different Newcastle team from the one we saw on Wednesday at Anfield.
In that I mean a much stronger and more resilient Newcastle team that will fight all the way until the final whistle. It will be a tough game. We will have to be prepared for this and the return of both Isak and Joelinton. Slot seemed to acknowledge this at his post match interview on Wednesday and I am very glad that he did.
Think Newcastle's mind has been on the Carabao Cup Final ever since they qualified for it, and nothing else. It means the world to them and their fans as Newcastle has not won a trophy since 1955 and they are a relatively big club.
Back to the PL, it is good Slot and his Red Men are still being cautious, but for us fans after all the PTSD suffered from our recent failed title races with City, think we are entitled to have a bit of chest now in this season's title race. If not, what is the fun of being a fan? So let me end by saying this...
The Fat Lady.... who I mentioned in an earlier post after the City game.... has already gargled her throat, put on her flouncy but stunning all red with white trim dress, and is now slowly but surely making her way onto the stage
