a lot of roads in D1 and nearer to D1 will be closed all the way till celebrations are over. Mrt is also super packed till its probably dangerous to take it as there is high risk of stampede (the low train frequency made it worse too).
For this year, there will be a lot more people in hcm as the rural viets will be in hcm to join in the celebrations, instead of the usual year where hcm population return to their hometowns or go travelling.
if u are in the celebrations, please look out for signs of stampede. Viet police are always understaffed, i dont think they can do much control should the crowd run havoc.
