Discos- Well, truth be told, with the loud music and FLs at every corner, it's really like a big orchard towers with viet girls as the only option. Some are nice, some are not but since it's usually commercial ,the best cherry picker gets the harvest. Unlike indon, thailand or Singapore, the ladies are not fully financially independent yet, hence, the girls you see in the bars are usually commercial. One or two will be legit but more often than not, commercial. So if one thinks that the girls are drawn to you casue you comb your hair nicely or look really cool, i think this is a reality check. Where do the normal girls hang out. Usually cafes like Windows Cafe or any coffee joints that litter the city. I think one of the most overlooked segments in vietnam is the expat segment. I see the guys chasing the viet ladies but overlook the angs moh, koreans and jap ladies that are working here either in the charity organizations, english teachers or in MNCs. They are a much more exciting bunch and yes, if you like to be engage, enjoy the ritual of being a real flirt and have a nice ending, these are your target segment. I can tell you for sure, they have their needs and it cost you nothing but you need to have an engaging personality. In Bali, there is a term call "Kuta Cowboys", these are ethinc indons who become the bf of the japs, aussie and russian girls. In Vietnam, you can be one too! So this is an alternative one can consider.
Honestly between the nightscene here and in Singapore, Singapore outclass vietnam any time. Within indochina, between Vietnam and thailand, thailand outclass vietnam anytime. If you want it commercial, i still suggest thailand, not only the ladies are nice and have a good thai service culture, the thai music rocks. Have anyone heard Vietnamese music in the clubs recently, i don't think so.
Massages- Again, of course compared to singapore , it is more affortable. I see the discussions tier around district 1 and 3 at max. If you really want to do it local, look out for this sign call "xoa bop". Those places is hardcore. It is cheap and they are "bareback warriors".You can find it in the outer districts or in any province as you travel around vietnam. At the end of the day, I think it is a balance of comfort price and enjoyment. Ard the city area, you will be quoted about US 30 for a HJ but the more realistic price is about 200,000 to 300,000 in a comfortable enviroment. In "xoa bop", you get a Bj for 200,000 in the provinces.
Honestly, the thrill of having a massage in vietnam sucks. Go Singapore(tui Na) or thailand.
Hotels- Many of the hotels are increasing their rates by 30% due to an overall shortage in rooms. Hotels and even service apartments do not allow for viet ladies(non related) to stay over night. Hence, my preference for foreigners, they are the best choice if you are staying in a 4 or 5 star enviroment. What happens if you still insist on gettng a local chick. There are so many sharing on those hotels already so i won;t go into detail. But something to note, the local viets when they want some action, they bring their chicks to a place call "Nha Nghi". It means a small hotel, room..whatever. About 200,000 for a night. Some are clean some are not.
Overall, if you are still young or charming and want to come to vietnam for escape, try the foreigners or viet kieus working here. They are pretty horny. Go to 'Lush", "Cantina", "Vascos". Usually you get good conversation and some hardcore action after that.
If you like your Johnnie Walker, the loud music, the illusion of girls finding you attractive and the bar table pressing on your potbelly, you can stick with the usual.
If really want a girl, just pay for it. No one has to leave vietnam feeling they did not get any action. Just be ethical, don't trick them into falling in love with you when all you want is a bonk. For the foreign chicks, they are financially independent, with a bit of sweet talk, your ROI can be quite positive.
You know what is the irony, you can get all these in singapore and save that airfare and hotel charges and reinvest these costs into a great night out in Singapore. Has anyone tried picking up girls at Raffles Bar. So many tourist girls looking for a good time in Singapore!! You stay in their hotel and even eat the buffet breakfast the next morning. Think about that.
If you really have to travel in indochina, go thailand. That is really a playground.
