If you want to make money, buy when the economics is good.

Anyway, the stocks price is SGX is relatively very cheap now compare to many other regions. If U do study carefully, there are many companies trading below NAV and with a PE of less than 8. Look at Samudera and Orchard Parade for examples.
Bro...The masses will buy when there's an upturn. However, there's still money to be made during a downturn, if one has the technical know-how. A good investor makes money in times of bear and bull markets. For this issue, I think we should discuss in detail when we do meet up in little HCM, since it is of great interest to us

FYI I was stuck with Samudera shares for more than 10 years and still made a loss after selling it. I'm quite a prudent saver in the past but everything was wiped out twice when something unfortunate happened (some of you already know what happened) so now my principle is to go for what I want in life + enjoy it to the fullest.
Seems like you are a "long-term investor" with Samudera huh?? Haha. I do not concur to the fact of being one. I'm an opportunist, and will bail out and cut losses when the tough gets going. Likewise, we should also know when to sell when we'd made enough. But I do agree that we should also live life to the fullest. Like what Botar says: Never entrusts one's life to only one HOLE!!
