I agree that telling WHITE LIES is a part of modern day living. But vietnamese are very often professional liers. They lie with the ultimate aim to getting more money. Singaporeans find these act sickening but if you grow up in that sort of poverty, maybe you will be worse than them. Singaporeans have to travel more and understand more of foreign cultures. We cannot always be that protected. We always like to boast about our efficient government, low levels of crime etc etc. But think of the price we are paying for all these? is it worthwhile? If you pay other Ministers of other countries a few million SGD a year to manage a small country, they can do the job well too.. maybe much better.
