There are many THL hotels in HCMC, you never specified which one.
Do a read-up about 1 or 2 pages backwards, REAPER mentioned about pick-up bars in Hai Ba Trung.
Gossip is at Dai Nam Hotel just across the street from Hotel New World. 166? since you are first timer, it is not advicable for you to visit there.
Most night spots closed at 12 midnight but some operate till 3am.
Hair wash place?? many along Truong Dinh street and Le Anh Xuan street at Dist 1. walk there and u will not miss them.
