many reports have claimed that liverpool had joined the race to sign tevez. Rafael Benitez's position would be strengthened by the fact that it is not Manchester United that would be dealt with in negotiating a deal for Tevez.The Argentinean's economic rights are held by various companies, headed by Kia Joorabchian. It is understood Tevez would cost in the region of £22m.
These latest reports are likely to heighten tensions between the two title chasing rivals even further.
