Recently I got into same scenerio as you. 2IC wanting to be PC.
I never tell her upfront about my PC. She surf SBF an found out about me and my vn PC. Initially she accepted to be 2IC. But her thinking changes when she came back.
Finally she 'chia tay' with me. I guess she hates me now.

I also got into a whole lot of mess when 2IC came back and push to be PC.
Nearly lost my vn galfriend of 3 years.
Now I am also in a mess as I can't find anyone to replace my 2IC...
still having flashes of thoughts about her.
