I feel sad and sympathize you on your situation. Gambling is The Evil of all Evils, followed by Drugs...... I have suffered from this evil, and fortunately, with the support of friends, I managed to clear myself out of it.

Please follow a religion, if you do not have one yet. People in the churches, temples, mosques, etc... are kind people who will lend you their ears, and offer advice. Do truely repent on what you have done, and speak to your wife, with the sincere intention to patch up. The kids should not suffer from the breaking-off of their parents. They are innocent. If you truely love your son as stated in your opening post, I am sure you would make the effort of getting rid of the gambling habit and the desire to go FLs for short-term and false love, if your son is of paramount importance to you.

Cheer up! In few years time, once you have cleared yourself out of the bad habits, you would be alright.
