hotel most important is cleanliness of room n toilet liao...
then i check aircon, bed/pillow quality, tv reception.
so far, only know of formosa (S$55 just last week) fulfilling my criteria (like H81 standard), given my budget of abt S$50...
stayed at mid-range one like seruni S$34 a few months back. 1st time i stayed there (a few years back) really spanking clean, but this last time i went spotted quite a few
kecoak…… toilet also not tip top condition any more...
when i'm not that fussy about everything, budget hotels also can. some i tried are: oron (beside puri garden, in front of nagoya hill plaza), bahari (behind lai lai), standard (4-5 years back liao, not much impression), asian or asean (also too long ago, only remember downstairs got a supermarket).
stayed at an upmarket one before (also few years back), called royal hotel iirc, 500k+ when exchange rate only 5k+ then (i tried cos got promo price 400k+ then). but my vague impression is that formosa beats it hands down given the price difference at similar quality.
