u dun need your wife to get PR to buy flat...
1) if your wife have no PR status and your child is not born , u can only buy in the resale market.
2) if your wife is not PR but your child is Singapore Citizen , you are eligible to buy BTO as well and also resale even Sale of Balanced Flats.
my wife also haven attain PR status but i have a son born here in Singapore.
i just bid for the Sale of balanced flat launched last month and got assigned a queue number to select flat...
