Atually, if we have in our possession, an amount of cash, equivalent to RMB 20,000 (or it is 30,000), we need to declare while entering and leaving the Chinese territory.
I have been checked twice at Beijing airport while leaving, and fortunately they let me off during both incidents, because I have exceeded by a small amount in S$.
