That's too much! How big was that fish?? One fish usually costs 80k-150k depending on type.
Safe places with fixed prices, in my bule experience (that is, apparently easier to be overcharged): Harbour Bay Wei Wei, all places in Nagoya Hill food street, Windsor ONLY IN SOME STALLS (I've been overcharged once in the seafood stall on the other side from the entrance near the KTV).
If you want to eat cheap, try Santeria between Formosa and Windsor.
Street stalls on Jalan Bonjol in front of Nagoya Hill are good. Also barbecue seafood! Yummy....

Just to note that inflation is hurting alot of people here as well. Seafood fish prices at 80-150K is reasonable liao.

Makan in malls are usually the worst taste ever, and high charges as well.
