Re: Events In CP
The Chinese New Year season is officially over with the Yuan Shao festival on the 15th day of the New Year and the annual Chang Ping Parade (as usual quite shabby/disappointing) yesterday, throwing the whole town in disarray with all sorts of road blockages/traffic diversions around the main CP road, Zhong Yuan street for well over 4 hours (even though one only get to view around 15 minutes of actual parade).
More importantly, I see a LOT of girls dragging luggage around on the streets - many with their XiaoLongGao in tow (the only time I ever see this group of leeches doing any work - coolie-ing luggage!!), furniture delivery guys ferrying all sorts of household item on their tri-cycles, my WeChat getting all sorts of "Hi" from Look-around ( I guess they need the deposit money for their apartments or to go back to work at the KTV!) and the bus station back alive with all sorts of arrivals. Yup, they're back in earnest although for sure they're not back to work in full force yet - at least not as of last week-end, as evidenced by the paltry numbers at the KTV I visited.
Anyway, Spring is definitely in the air in Chang Ping and now is a good time for you guys to START coming over; just don't get too disappointed with the quantity/quality as I'm not sure if as many will be back to CP this year or not.
I was chatting with one of my mommy friends and even at the Mayflower, they have dispensed with ANY pre-employment deposit requirements this year - that's how tight things are these days; she tells me that a lot of girls are now preferring to work closer to home/their nearby cities as many new KTV's have sprung up all over China and Girl rates/prices are higher than is do-able in CP. Even nearby places like Humen, Houjie, DongCheng all have higher rates, never mind Shenzhen and Guangzhou (where sitting fees mostly start at 500) and of course places like Shanghai, Beijing even Tianjin, HangZhou and Dalian of all places!!
Happy Punting friends!
