You may want to double check if that fare INCLUDES all the taxes, fuel surcharge and whatever else CX is famous for NOT including when promoting supposedly great fares. Such add-ons can easily close to double the actual fare charged.
Not sure about Singapore, but such quite deceptive advertising tactics has only been outlawed in Hong Kong very recently.
