any one going to Batam on 03-05Oct? Going for the first time so wondering if I could tag along. Of cos paying for my own trip and expenses (and you pay own of cos!!!).

If I pay my own and you pay your own, why would I want to let you tag along if there's nothing in it for me?

There are many more sections in this forum.. keep posting a thread in each of them and maybe you'll find your kaki.

Its title is called Batam Info Thread under the forum International Field Report,where a vast amount of information is being stored there contributed by lots of experience bros who venture Batam,where some even has taken the place as their 2nd home.

In order not to go out of your thread's Topic,here's my reply to you. Oct 2014 is still far away,i am currently planning my Sept trip which is likely to be around 2 weeks later. As your suggested dates - 3rd Oct to 5th Oct falls on weekends,i am afraid i am not likely able to join you cos i go Batam mostly during weekdays,average once a month to clear my "pipe"....lol.

A small tip :
Batam is a place where 1st timer can also cheong solo even w/o a guide or partner to go -together. As a matter of fact,most if not all prefer to there alone and later link up with other bros who are already there for coffee,small talk or a simple meal. Rarely see people have a cheong-together session in Batam,even tho the link i post above have occasional group outings.

Lastly,like all oversea travelling,a lot of situations require common sense,understanding of the country's cultural behaviour and LUCK. Do feel free to read the latest 50 pages of the Batam info thread and after which you may start your enquiry.
