Ya, before we all misunderstand that you're "dialect-ist" (as borrow from the word "racist"), can you elaborate what type of "classes" you are referring to?

If I read the above in combination, you seems to be saying that Hokkien is low class in general?

Or is it because the scenes are taken in HDB & coffeeshop, and not a high class condo & restaurant? Not because of Hokkien per-se right?

I mean, for eg, if a maid can be deemed as high-class just because of the employer she works for OR the place (book store) which u picked her up, a Hokkien-speaking fellow do have the capacity of being high-class too, right?

Braddah you misunderstood and I used poor sentence structure. Meant SG thinks Hokkien is low class so speak English or Mandarin. I'm a lover and a businessman not a racist.

Where to download the movie? Will the movie get launch in cinema?

Finally they come out with a movie with more local style. The normal TV programme or local movies are boring because they make it too formal and the language is too perfect. This might educate the public but kills entertainment.

actually when I read the stories/fictions here, our society is not lack of creative people, we can be as capable as HK or Bollywood to produce good movies if our society is not too judgmental, our government is not so interventionist
if done right, producing local movies is a good business, just look at those Korean dramas, bringing lots of export earnings to Korea and also promote their tourism
but this is not going to happen here for the time being
few years ago, Phua Tze Kiang was so popular, but then was criticized for his Singlish and 'being asked' to improve his English and of course this was a death sentence
the end result is we are just a boring, soul-less society infatuated with property prices, COEs, etc.
we will never have Steve Jobs-type of creative people here
