Is marriage a slavery for man?

I am wondering in this modern society couple with woman charter law is marriage a slavery for man? It seems like is a poor investment with no returns at all. Money will be always flowing out and responsibility are high. Woman nowadays demands man to do household chores , earn more money , take care of family etc...Man have to be submissive inorder to maintain the marriage because woman can easily walks out . With woman charter around man will be at the losing edge when comes to divorce, the matrimonial has to split equally or more. The only things woman lose out is their youth and giving birth .......

It is a form of indirect slavery instituted by the state, so that the cost of taking care of the "dependent" population is borne by the common folk....

So that kids n elderly will have some form of income stream. N that the state need not be burdened with the cost of caring for the many.

Best of all, marriage is a contract that comes with multiple implied moral obligations... Failing to fulfil any of them may lead to significant risks of legal damages and a life time of debt and other financial obligations.

Speaking of which, commercial contracts are far clearer than that cert of marriage.

In a commercial contract, if you bought the farm, its yours. But in a marriage, if you bought a cow, you have to unconditionally feed the rest of the farm.

i agree,many failed short marriages r due to couple's own ego & expectations.they were pampered by parents,siblings when they were young.when they r married,they r expecting there's 1 more person(husband/wife) to add on to tis. in times,as tis 'expectations' slowly dropped below target,they start MAGNIFYING each other's short-comings & thus makin fuss outta it.

It depends what type of man. For a family man, whom enjoy love and being love by 1 same woman, bring up children, etc. It is actually the responsibility that motivates him to go out, work hard, perform well and being respected by society. This type of man never needs to worry about what was written in the Woman Chapter.

On the other hand, if one is just like a bird born without legs, should never settle down with any Woman at all.

Nut shell, marriage is slavery for the wrong type of man. Understand yourself which type you belong to.

Getting married with a gold digger is not within my discussion. Anybody going to ROM, should at least have the intention to spent the rest of the life with that person. One should at least have a decent understanding about who is the one that is signing the same marriage certificate.

If your cow is Wa Cow eh so chio, then you don't mind feeding her village.

If your cow has big neh neh, you can everyday squeeze for milk.

If your cow has small neh neh, she only eat your grass, you nothing to squeeze.

If your cow give you calves, you buy 1 get X free.

It all depends on how you choose and train your cow.

The unfairness of woman charter make it totally senseless to get married. A smart man will only have kids with the woman and raise them up together without signing on the dotted line. End of the day, the woman charter did not talk about any punishment if the woman decided to walk out of the marriage or cheat during the marriage.

There is simply no reason to get married...

think there is a flaw here...if you have kids and both parents cannot produce a marriage cert then the kids dun enjoy priority in schooling..also dun entitle to alot of perks whereby a kid under proper marriage conditions enjoyed...

also without marriage, not entitle to buy HDB flat...not entitle whatever income tax on wife relief or tax rebates for children if wife gives birth below 32yrs old...

the above is IMHO...not to upset anyone...pls skip if you dun like to read...
