TS, not trying to scare u but i found this in stomp that happens a few years back... but there are others many cases where pay a sum of $$ to the victim and case close, so u better quickly compound ur case as what bros here advise.....

A condominium security guard with a long rap-sheet was jailed on Wednesday for outraging the modesty of a female resident while drunk on the job.

Singaraja Rasiah, 61, was sentenced to a year and two months in jail. He could have been sentenced to up to two years in jail, fined or caned, or to any combination of these penalties.

The court heard that the guard had started work at the Kentish Green Condominium in Little India in 2010.

On Feb 10 last year, the resident had returned to the condo at 7pm and greeted Singaraja as she passed the guardhouse.

About 40 minutes later, he went to her apartment and rang the doorbell.

The Japanese woman, a kindergarten teacher, saw that it was Singaraja and opened the door.

He spoke in English and asked her how her husband was and where he was at that moment.

Her poor English meant she was unable to fully understand him and thought her husband, a sales executive, was ill and at home. She opened the door to the master bedroom to check but there was no sight of him.

It was then that Singaraja pulled her towards him and stroked her crotch.

She screamed and pushed him out of the room and apartment, before calling her husband, who then notified police.

Singaraja was placed under arrest and as he appeared intoxicated, he was sent for a blood test. It revealed a blood alcohol level of 114mg per 100ml, above the drink-driving limit of 80mg.

Since you have admitted the charge and have the cash to offer compound... you should inform the IO you would like to offer an apology and compensation for compounding the offence...

else you can inform your lawyer to write in to AGC to offer as such...

No point waiting and I tell you, you send in late request, make the IO and DPP run around on things at last minute will not endear yourself to them

bro, my take to it is to take it to your lawyer... (p/s : after what happened to me years ago, I never trusted police in singapore). Afterall, lawyer is being paid by you but police isnt, thus I still believe that the best advice you could get is by a lawyer...

The investigating officer lied to my bro that the case will be given warning only and closed if my brother sign the statement and admit to the offence. This was at 4am and my bro stupidly believed the IO and signed. The IO then told my bro now it is very late, he can "leave" the police station the next morning.

My bro was told to dress up in the morning and he was expecting to be released.
Instead he was brought to the Court and charged for the offence. That same day he was sentenced to 15 months jail time.

True, i have many cases that the police have caused me dissappointment.

The police only want to make life easy for themselves. I have 2-4 cases, none of the IO follow up my case and ask me to persue lawyer if i need to

It dun make sense? Does your bro take the charge in police station? If not more than 48 hrs lock up maybe 1 or 2 days later he need to attend mention court usually court 26 or 23! And he can plead not guilty and request to postpone to seek for legal advice!

The best thing you could do nw is to engage a lawyer and in the meantime please cooperate with the IO. Nvr guai LAN or yaya with them!
