My condolences. At least she just got married. Mine is now married and has two children that I've attended one's birthday party and the younger one's one month old celebration.

Take it easy man. The feeling is there, but you'll get over it and it loses it's sting over time. You will not have this sourish feeling if you end up meeting a better partner later in life. We are human, we like and favour better things.

My ex who is now married once called me on my mobile and cried that she can't get along with her husband. Spent 2 hrs on the phone counselling her and that she should work together with her husband and learn to communicate and understand each other better. I told her that since they both ddecided to sign on the dotted line and devote their lives to each other, then they should learn to live with the partner they have chosen. I knew she still had feelings for me as I was her first love and she was mine, but I draw the line not to come between a married couple. I still love and care for her, but that has now progressed to another level. I just want to see her happy now. Least to say, my mobile phone bill for the month hit the roof. Phone counselling safer as there is a physical barrier and both parties can't make a mistake when emotions are high.

Marriage was never about happily ever after. It got romanticised along the way thanks to movies and novels and people get this misconception that it is. A marriage can be romanticised, but only by the couples within it to make that effort.

My ex knows that I've distanced myself from her and her feelings, but its okay, as she knows I mean well.

i maintain a very close friendship with most of my ex-es and we still meet up up for coffee and things like that .....

just yesterday, the very love of my life ...the one that broke my heart the most called me after a year....had a brief chat and i ask if she have anyone and she say yes and marriage is on the books .....

tis time round, i can really stop waiting .....have always hoped for a reconcilation despite watever have happen 4 years ago ....i still yearn and love her .....
