frm my experience , even with IOU, even if the person admit, if the person declare bankrupt, u also lan lan.

Hmmm...

To the threadstarter, I would suggest that you have a nice talk with your mum to find out more bout the situation.. She may be feeling very upset now. The most you can do at this stage is to talk nicely to her and find out what exactly happened.

In the meantime, try to cool your dad down and tell him nicely that what has been done has been done.. No point getting so upset with your mum.

In short, calm your parents' moods, find out what happened before you take any other actions.

i did told my dad.. no point forcing her now.. dun quarrel with her also, she is just a housewife she know nothing abt how dangerous outside world is...

I din not talk abt this matter to my mom for past 2 days cos all of us need couple of days to cool down.

but I instructed my brother to find out more from her first .. cos he is more soft spoken person than me. so hopefully tomolo i am able to get the infos from my him.. if not i will do the talking then..

I rather myself or my brother to ask my mom than my dad.. cos he is big tiger with forceful way of handling things and me the 2nd but I will take it low this time cos i still love my mom for the sake of my late grandma... haiz.. i also scolded my younger brother.. he let our late grandma down. can i make a police report .. i suspected her friend n the borrower ganged up to cheat my mother;s money? such pple got full of tricks to cheat money without signing IOU ..etc. ....
