Seems to me time changes a lot.
During my time, the event did not happen overnite. We met up few times over coffee or dinner. Get to know each other first then finally the event took place.
One thing to notice, during the event I organized, ALL of the participants were in their 40s and above. Unlike now, I saw many couples as young as 20s plus. I am honestly very surprised. In 20s, they just (maybe) got married and already into this lifestyle.
