IMHO,

Marriage to me is indeed rather akin to slavery for men in most 1st world economies (Singapore included). The economics of marriage simply do not work well for men. Divorce settlements, child-custody, poor sex life, the reasons have all been said before.

But not getting married isn't the end of the world. As the most men in this forum likely know, we men have quite a few alternatives when it comes to female company and/or sex (in the increasing order of cost):

1. Cohabitation with a long-term girlfriend/fwb
2. A long-term fwb without cohabitation
3. A long-term girlfriend without cohabitation (whether or not she believes that marriage is on the table... depends on how cold-blooded you are

)
4. Sugar-daddy/Sugar-babe arrangements
5. Short-term girlfriends/Flings from clubs
5. Using escorts frequently

I am also quite curious as to what is the arrangement of choice of most of the samsters here? (those that are not married of course)

That's in order of DECREASING costs.

The most costly option is marriage which has the highest overheads with the least amount of sex.

I been observing that Singapore man is one of the best in the region . Most guys here are responsible and family orientated . I see most guy friends very afraid of their gfs or spouse perhaps is so call respect. Comparing to thai and Vietnam guys , Singapore man is far better . Dont understand local woman still so picky on sg guys . When comes to marriage man will be in the losing edge....

I call them wimps. Singapore men are the laughing stock of the region. They have surrendered their roles as bread winner and boss and allowed women to walk all over them.

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

Most of the guys here are Singaporean leh......lol.......sad to say is true , blame it on feminism and woman charter...man is a slave.

Come to Mudland lah...... here our women always obey us

No such thing as women's charter and we can take up to 4 wives. And they have to obey our every command and wishes or we can just "divorce" them with a simple sentence - "in the name of Allah, I hereby announce that I am divorcing you" - it is so simple and hassle free and legally binding.
