Unless u have something better to do or somewhere better to be, if not I don't think it's a waste of time. I don't think anyone will talk 2 hrs to a person if there is not a feeling of some inital mutual understanding.
To me personally, if I talk to someone who does not give me the feeling that there is some understanding, even 5 mins i'll consider it a waste of my time.
