Is sad to hear the Thai King had pass on yesterday. For those frequent Thai play land bros let mourn for the king. Worst of all hear is a one month ban in all entertainment joint with no drink? It is a new era for Thailand. The late Thai King is very revered & loved by the Thai people. The crown prince whom will ascend the throne after the 1 year mourning period is much less popular compared to his late father. In poll, the Thai princess is more well liked by her people by comparison to her brother. Does that mean the influence of the Royal family will diminish over the Thai government? If that is the case, the current Thai Prime Minister will become the most powerful man in Thailand.

This is indeed 1 great king who really looked after his subjects well. He will be surely miss by all who know and love him. My condolences to the King's family and to his people . May he rest in peace.

In any case, monarchy, benign or otherwise, is a dated institution. No better way of governance than democracy -- though even democracy may not prevent poor governance. A good example is the current US elections. Both candidates are deeply flawed.

Yes. He put In the effort to help his ppl. Evidenced by outpouring of grief by most Thais. Many times coups end cos he tell the army stop. Saving his ppl from more upheavals.

Yes. Indeed. THE KING deserve all the Thais respect and even we as non Thai. May THE KING rest in peace.

But in future, a very dark cloud of political uncertainty.
Its the DEVINE power of THE KING that again and again unite all Thais and all polotics and army. THE KING IS THE MAIN CONCRETE OF THAILAND. HE WAS HOLDING ON TO THE UNITY OF ALL THAI AND HE WAS THE ANSWER TO ALL POLITICAL DISPUTE. Salute to HIM.

now. He is no longer here. Infuture, what kind of political environment will be in thailand. CAN THIS CROWN PRINCE ABLE TO UNITE THE GREATLY DEVIDED POLITICS? I doubt very much so. It takes years and years of patient, loving touch and the charamatic character to do it.

So how? My prediction is that Thailand will be rule by iron fist of the ARMY for a considerable time in future. Only the army has the forcefull power to unite the Thai. no longer the soft and respected way of KING did over the years.

Lastly. My sincere CONDOLENCE TO ALL THAI FOR THE LOST OF SUCH A LEADER.
