Spas that want NRIC

How do bros overcome this? I notice spas (even the laksa ones) have this website thingy that require you to key in your actual NRIC. I try to fake one out but it seems they can detect whether this NRIC exists or not.

Generally not comfortable in providing NRIC and disclosing where we are in case used against us.

No choice bro, it's a MUST to register with NRIC details in ALL Cat1 spas

Last time the spas provided a log book for registration purposes, that time we can anyhow write some false info or scribble any rubbish oso nevermind

Sometimes can see they hv a reminder note on the log book that says: please write legibly

Now ALL Cat1 spas use tab liao, so we cannot anyhow cheat liao and we must key in true & correct info as per our NRIC, cannot like anyhow provide fake FRs liao ..

One alphabet or number that does not tally wif NRIC means the registration will never go thru, i hv tried a few times like that before, all failed, so at the end lanlan hv to provide the real thing

Like it or not we are compelled to adhere to this regulation as imposed by the authority(not by the spa)

you will not be in trouble for visiting these establishments, giving your IC is no issue. The issue will arise if they do raid the place and find out you gave fake IC number.

Many still not comfortable registering NRIC at Cat 1 spa for some reason.

Cat 1 spa need apply to Case Trust as part of the requirement. Case Trust need register NRIC as part of the consumer prepayment protection.

Also many customers who know of this protection will use it to their advantage by always asking for refund with unsatisfactory service rendered

this era liao still bloody many people dont know about the law.

your wife or gf or colleagues or boss or friends (depends who you hang out with) will deem it illegal though

the spa of course won't anyhow divulge nric numbers but i feel that people fear a hacker go into the system and make public those numbers. After all the spa does not have IT dept so their IT security is minimal at best.

Unless of course the tab is not networked and stand-alone, which is best. Then again, with such hardware, when obsolete or damaged, and not disposed properly (data wiped clean), also problem .....

Go spa not illegal and not all spa have special la.

Nothing wrong to go massage and key in NRIC even if data leak. Go spa surely go f girls meh.

If worried this and that, choose spa that don't need NRIC or don't visit at all.

Personally I do not hesitate to give my IC but never take my eyes of it. I do not offer for repeat visits as the system capture it already.

there are people who walk away when asked to register IC. One time i bring my friend who is in IT line of work to Cat 1 spa, he walk out
